Israel: Why Americans Should Care
David Brog, Executive Director, Christians United for Israel (CUFI)
David Brog will be guest speaker at our upcoming meeting.

“Now, with the Iranian nuclear threat growing, relations with the Obama administration tumultuous, and assaults on Israel in international bodies a daily occurrence, Israel can use some real friends.” says Jennifer Rubin of The Weekly StandardIt is also true that the U.S. needs a real friend like Israel.

Having witnessed many insults directed toward Israel in the last six years, we have recently learned that President Obama’s own campaign team went to Israel to help defeat Prime Minister Netanyahu in the latest election. While that attempt failed, at the same time, our administration has been working with Iran, (a sworn enemy of Israel) on a major agreement which may or may not hamper Iran’s development of a nuclear weapon.

Before joining CUFI, Brog worked in the United States Senate for seven years, serving as chief of staff to a senior United States senator and as staff director of the Senate Judiciary Committee. He has also served as an executive at America Online and practiced corporate law in Tel Aviv, Israel and Philadelphia, PA.

Brog is the author of two books:  In Defense of Faith: The Judeo Christian Idea and the Struggle for Humanity, and Standing With Israel: Why Christians Support the Jewish State

In 2007, Forward newspaper listed Brog among the 50 most influential Jews in America. He is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.
